It's always these last few minute goals that screw me. I had Manure to win 3 -0 and that's what it was until the last five minutes.

I also have Chelsea to win 3 - 0. OK at half time, I can't see the scoreline lasting though.

Anyway two scores spot on so far and my BB intact so I can't complain.

I'm in rapid decline and heading for relegation, I think. Zero points over the past two weeks. I just can't get the mid to lower teams' outcomes correct.
Maybe I should spend some more time looking at the form as Guess says he does? Then again, it probably won't make an iota of difference. :(

Think I'll follow Lawro's predictions for a few weeks until my head gets back together!

What a mess. I may be the first in history to begin the season in 1st place, and end it in last place! :( Pete

Last week I'm ridiculed because I backed Villa at home to win. This week Villa trounce one of the big 4 away from home - what's form got to do with it? :cuss:

BB,
Yeah. I lost my hard earned banker bonus points on Villa the same week as you did :cuss:
I'd be watching out for this ajaxamsterdam. He lives down south now and obviously has too much time on his hands so is starting to get some predictions right.

You know, one of these Sunday mornings I would love to have a nice surprise, something like at least 5 points! :guns: Can we change IKTS to ice hockey? Everyone appears to have fallen into the crapper yesterday. Anyone want to travel back in time and bet 100 on a 0-0 Chelsea/Newcastle outcome? The football gods have gone mad!!! :cuss: Pete

I still have my bonus game to play yet. But I got "0" points and moved up two places.

Similar for me. I lost my bonus on Liverpool (statistically better at home than Chelsea) and had a 2 1 for Pompei.

All top four failing to win. It's a conspiracy.+

One poxy goal cost me 80 points and another 50 ongoing to get my bonus back.

It's not just HHAD that have done badly. I am in tow other leagues and I am still inn the same position with almost everybody else getting minus scores so far.

I think the real test now is the remaining three matches. Another -30 for me I reckon.

Complete wipe out!

I play in two leagues and only one player - so far - has retained their bonus!

2 late goals cost me :cuss:
hull's late leveller & stoke's late winner, could have had +65 instead of - 50

it's a funny old game :D

Much of the success is due to holding on the banker bonus and using my banker chip on the right match. Forget about the x 2 vs x 3 issue. I never put my banker on a draw or an away win. There is almost always one match that stands out as being a home win. This week it was Liverpool. Arsenal and Manure were playing each other so that was no good. Chelsea were away which left Liverpool as the best bet. I then check their attacking and defensive records at home and place my score at the mean. So quite a few times I have got 60 points or 30 and early on at least one 90 pointer.

I had a look at other peoples predictions who had score badly just to see why and I found that some had gone for very unreliable teams such as Aston Villa to win at home. Then you have the Manure fans betting on Manure winning at Emirates. The odds must have been in favor of Arsenal.

Outside of the top four teams the rest are a lottery. Spurs had a bad start and in the last three weeks have performed better than any of the top four including their good show in Europe. How can you predict that. West Ham and Hull have done the opposite and will probably bee fighting relegation by the end of the season along with Stoke and West Brom.

A general rule though is that the home team has an advantage and apparently the most common score is 2 - 1.
:butt: :blabla: :lies:

So much for the form book.

:lach: You've got to keep smiling.
