League Cup

Post by Super Joe »

So Miked, Watford home to Spurs. Any prediction ? and I don't mean 48 to the pound.
Been to VR a few times ages ago, can't recall losing there, never saw Elton but saw thousands of Watford fans, 9 out of ever 10 probably, wearing Elton t-shirts, hats, scarves, y-fronts and flags. Is it still the same ?
I was at Wembley to see them win their only final, were you there and what item was you wearing ?

1-1 then Spurs win at WHL is my prediction.

No replays anymore Doh! So my prediction lasted all of 5 minutes
Spurs have lost every penalty shoot-out I've seen them be involved in, and England come to think of it.

not spurs, i just can not see it. when they start winning, and they will, they will be beating nearly everyone.

super joe,
i wrote that october 23rd. nearly put in a post before the draw was made predicting we would get spurs.
as i see it we have two chances. number 1,we bring the kick off time forward by i hour but don't tell spurs. not having any opposition for the 1st half should give us a 2-1 advantage at half time. my second option is bribing the referee. if that fails i think you will win 5-1. if you do beat us, sorry i mean when you do, i think you will go on to win the cup. if we can not win it then i hope you do. at least we did west ham, yes.!!

Won the Eufa cup on penalties. Now who was that small goalkeeper?

Yeah, that was probably last time was it ? I wasn't at that game anyway, too young to have money for ticket off a tout.
Parks born in East London, we let him go back there when he had served his time with us :D

Funny that. Just saw this on bbc sport:

Tottenham have named their 1984 Uefa Cup final penalty shoot-out hero Tony Parks as their new goalkeeping coach after the departure of Hans Leitert. (Daily Mirror)

Not sure about needing a coach but definetely a keeper unless big gomes get's his act together. Got a funny feeling that Hans what's his name told gomes to start catching the ball too soon and when he let that one through his hands last week he promptly got the sack :D

Well Jimmy boy, you got me... and Super Joe will get a laugh at my expense on this one too! I was wondering why someone would use their real name and photo as an avatar assuming you wouldn't make a name like that up.

Then I googled it!

"James Peter 'Jimmy' Greaves (born 20 February 1940 in East Ham, London) is a legendary English former football player, England's third highest goalscorer..."

Guess it pays to be English sometimes on this forum! :thumb:

:D :D :D

Nice win last night 4-1 gives us a great chance of getting to the Final again.

Not sure but if we get to the final we may be guaranteed a place in europe next season as it is likely we face Man U. Win we get into europe, lose and man u will be in europe via league position or winning european cup. Hope so.

Not so sure James, if we lose League cup final think it may depend on FA Cup, assuming Man U qualify for Champions league. Confusing as hell, anyone know ?

We'll just have to beat Man U in the final like we did that team from Fulham last year
