The fee to enter the park was 200 baht for foreigners and 40 for Thais (no charge for the kids). I do have a work permit, drivers license and enough gumph to probably persuade them to let me in at the Thai price as I have done at other places but it was obscenely early and I just couldn't be bothered with the hassle for 160 baht.

I've found that at many places if you arrive with Thai family in tow more often than not they'll charge the entire car load the Thai price. It just happened to us going to Ko Samet, 3 adult Thai's, 1 luk krung daughter of mine, a Swedish guy and myself. They looked at all of us and charged the national park fee of 40 baht instead of 200. Getting on the same ferry boat where about 30 mainland Chinese tourists who all were charged 200. Pete
