And you never made it south. It would have been a bit of a disappointment anyway. It has been raining all month.

Did the Fish & Chips reunion ever happen?

Yes did meet one mate at the chippy. Richard still not there but the lass did a very good job. Made it up to ChiangMai as well - love it.
BTW Thai time has prevailed - I still need to do the Bintabahn audit but hope to do that tonight. Have photos also but need help scanning and attaching 4U.

Mags,
Sorry not to have seen you on this trip, but how and when are you going back to the UK? Overland?

Richard is back now and looking well after his experience in hospital. The lass that did your fish and chips was probably his sister in law. She did mine when I was there as well and did a wonderful job with the cooking and entertaining conversation... very interesting and well traveled woman (for a Thai)! :thumb: :thumb:

If they are old photos then the best photocopy possible might work, or if you have the negatives then it is easy to get them digitized onto a CD. That, of course, also applies to new photos that are 35mm.

It is just that film was not so good in the past and the negatives degrade over time.

I have to re-ask WL's question. How are you getting back. As far as I know the only international airport in Thailand that is still functioning is Phuket and it cannot take long haul aircraft. (747, 777 % large Airbuses)

elem,
You have to cross the railway in the centre of town, go past Gee Untung supermarket (on the left) and keep going straight as if you were going to the Hin Lek Fai viewpoint over Hua Hin. About 300 metres past the supermarket on the right is Bamboo Grove - it has a load of pot plants outside but there is no obvious sign - if the place is open look for the two dart boards and pool table inside.
