It’s none of my business what people say and think of me. I am what I am and do what I do. I expect nothing and accept everything. It makes life so much easier.

Having criticised Murphy in another thread you then did it again in this thread then deleted what you said. I find your way of posting incredibly stupid. As I said before to you facts not fiction or hearsay (correct spelling note) please[/i]
Woke up this morning breathing that's a good start to the day.
Ok, keeping this on topic (and off snide and destructive remarks) the Indian restaurant situ in HH has not changed much.Sabai Jai wrote: I'm coming down next week - don't supose there are any new Indians (Restaurants that is not tailors!) in town
There is an over-hyped one in Takiab that is a let-down, the Maharajah which still has the same tourist offerings, and the 'Indian Hut' or something down Poolsuk which is about the best there is so far - but far from what I'd call 'top notch'.
Of course buksi's home made vindaloo hits the spot every time!
Who is the happier man, he who has braved the storm of life and lived or he who has stayed securely on shore and merely existed? - Hunter S Thompson
Heard a while back that the one from Takiab, is opening an intown smaller restaurant in the New Head Rock bar opp. Blue Angel. Not sure if it's still a goer but do know my mate's missus is.
Some rate it, some don't, I've had good food there but only been twice so can't really judge.
A lot of people rate the Indian Hut, there's a thread about it, think its best for hot curries, can't eat them.

FOOD, FOOD, FOOD
As an Englishman it's usually WEATHER, WEATHER, WEATHER
My view is that's all down to personal taste, mood etc
For me the best grub is
1) Thai--- Her indoors no. 1 My daughters when over here no.2
2) Farang---Me at home (curry, spag bol, beef stew)
After that it's a lottery going out and we all have our preferences but we all listen to word of mouth. That can be difficult. Recently had friends out and we went to a place I recommended only to find the standard had gone down.
Restaurateurs and Bars have a tough job in maintaining consistency. Staff, chefs, bosses attendant to oversee quality, are all factors that are difficult to manage
Buff B a friend and somebody I've given flack to in the past is the first to admit that 'if your finger is not on the button' anything can happen
Guess it's a case of 'suck it and see' but I ALWAYS make sure I'm specific about what I want. Thick/thin gravy, English not US mustard, Isaan spiciness not farang mild touch
We as punters are lucky. We have so much to choose from in terms of food and entertainment but as punters we ought to be specific up front about what we want after all the 'customer is always right' . Well it used to in the Western world anyway
Sorry. End of my rant. Just wanted to pass my thoughts on

I posted the original India Hut thread ages ago. India Hut has sadly gone down the crapper, with a name change, different staff etc so probably new management. They no longer know what a Madras is, and what I did end up with last time was frankly inedible.
