Anybody remember the title of a Jarre tune which was very oriental?

For me November Rain for the wife Don't cry

Saw a farang guy grab the mike at a Karaoke joint and gave a superb rendering of November Rain and the audience (mostly Thai) gave him a standing ovation

Got to play it now :thumb:

I think the early/mid-seventies tracks were infinitely better: Major Tom, Ch-ch-ch-changes, Rebel Rebel, etc.

But, hey, I'm just showing my age.

Yeah VS, not your age, but, "Ground control to major [edited by me not mods]" :lach:

Some irony to be considered here with this song in the local area/extended area/imediate/almost everywhere is applicable, not to all but to many.

Hello Hua Hin, here are the votes from the Norwegian jury !

Uriah Heep: Rain & July morning
Guns & Roses: November rain
Pink Floyd: Learning to fly
Billy Idol: everything
David Bowie: Major Tom, Cat people them + the rest
Luksusleverpostei (Norwegian for) Luxus Liver Pate
Jean Michelle Jarre; Equinox, Oxygen & Live at the forbidden place in China
The last mentioned are recomended as a DvD in THX quality. (makes my hair raising from my skin) It`s awesome. It`s a must have for Jarre fans.
Eamon F..k you.
Frankie: F..k you right back.
Meat Loaf: Paradise by the dashboard light, Bat out of hell + + +
Vangelis: everything they have released.
Van Halen: Jump
Chris De Burgh: Spanish Train
ABBA; NOT ! exept; their participation in: ONE NIGHT IN BANGKOK.
And not to be forgotten: There is a lot of beautifull Thai music, that i am sorry to admit that i do not understand. But it sounds great.

This might sound daft. Correction - this WILL sound daft - but a friend got hold of a download of Jake Thackeray, and it's hilarious listening to his lyrics again after eons.
Maybe someone you appreciate more second time around, but his 'Widow of Bridlington' is soooo funny, and very cleverly done.
