Hi

We are visiting Hua Hin i January, can anybody tell us about the hotel Anantara Resort? how is it? are the hotel near nightlife in hua hin?

I stayed there donkeys' years ago when it was The Royal Garden Village - and I had money. Really loved the place. Went back a year ago with some guests and it hadn't changed much, just more built up around it.
Not in the centre of town, but only about 10 mins away. Shuttle busses or taxis will get you to and from the nightlife easily.

Never stayed there myself, but some friends from the uk just honeymooned there and said it was really beautiful. It is a little away from the nightlife but Taxis are always around so it will be fine for you. Enjoy your stay in Hua Hin.

The Anantara Resort is a lovely place to stay. I have stayed there for the past two holidays and will be returning next year.

Itâ€™s located right on the beach, has two large pools and 4 or 5 different places to eat. They run a shuttle bus to and from Hua Hin but book a seat in the morning for that day or just get a taxi which cost 100B.

Having been there I would always recommend the Hilton in HH, primarily because of it's location. Whilst a 10 min tuk tuk ride isn't much, it's not quite the same as being able to walk ANYWHERE straight outside your front door. Personal preference of course ....

A great hotel, near to centre of town, that's not too expensive is Chale Larn on Chomsin Road, near the fishing pier.
Very smart, modern decorated rooms and it's priced reasonably too.
Bit more of a personal feel about it than the big boys.

I had friends stay there last July and whilst they liked the hotel they were both adamant that next time they would stay at the Hilton purely because of its central location

Thanks for the tip re Cha Le Larn Burger.

Staying there just now in one of their seaview rooms. Kinda like a pagoda style bungalow built on the roof. Large full length windows down the seaview side and small balcony looking south over the rooftops as well....so much natural light - love it. Really is a great room, and only 1200 baht a night. Nice little boutique style place.

Dont rule out the Dusit either, bit further away. We have stayed in the Antara aswell, both are very good but the Anantara is showing its age a bit.
Still a good hotel though.
