These aren't mega recent but were taken by me. Top 2 are Hua Hin then Bangkok, Korat and lastly Surin... :D

Image
Taken during Loi Krathong at the start of the parade near the police station in Hua Hin. These ladies are waiting to join the back of the procession.

Image
Loi Krathong again and about the same place in Hua Hin. I have never seen so much silk in one place. The colours were really stunning. Spot the lady near the middle giving me the evil eye!!

Image
This was the Kings birthday in Bangkok. I caught this news reader talking to camera and managed to get a different perspective being where the news crew were. It was funny to see the people jostling for position trying to get on the TV. There were so many people in a really hot Bangkok that day but I never saw anyone loose their temper. A lesson for all of us I think...

Image
Whilst tooling around a market in Korat I saw this unfortunate pigs head grinning at me. The sad thing (for him) is that his innards are beside him in that plastic bag...ugh!

Image
These are Khymer ruins about 30 kms west of Surin (I think) I love the vivid red colour of the stone. I was just lucky the monk just happened to be walking by. Had to wait till he finished his mobile phone conversation though...!

:thumb: Thanks Randy,

I'll be honest, when I saw the first photo I started looking for the Adam's Apples - I thought it was the lads from the Blue Angel

It was fun for the first 3 minutes ... not as fun as the ocean though ...

Can anyone guess where I was and the event at which I took this?

It was only 5 hours and 40 minutes, on a Sunday! I would have said Asian Games based on the logo on the balloon. Pete

Damn I was going to say that... Ha ha ha.
The baloon has a 'Kitty' look and with the big eyes has a distinct Japanese feel...
