Triumphs!
Have any of you (real) bikers been to Market Village lately. I was there today and Triumph has a display of all the 2009 models there... a line of the most beautiful bikes I've ever seen here in Thailand. I didn't even know they sold those here.
Though I've never owned either, I've always liked the sound of a Harley and the look of a Triumph!
Almost tempted me.......

I'm not sure, but maybe you need a few more posts before you're permitted to upload photos. If not, you could try to follow the instructions in the first post here http://www.huahinafterdark.com/forum/th ... t8726.html.ceebee wrote:If I new how to, I would upload a picture of me collecting my Triumph Street Tripple on 01DEC08 in Essex - Perhaps someone can advise how
Alternatively, if you PM me, I'll send you an e-mail adress that you can send it to. I can post it for you.

The rocket 6 cylinder thing they brought out is a bit of a lump, I saw one at the farmyard party when first new, I always thought when i passed my test i'd buy a speed triple, Someone i knew had nothing but trouble with one so it put me off.

Doing 80 on a hardtail and hit a bump
This was quite a mad bike that didnt really go round corners without scraping your toes![/img]Randy Cornhole wrote:This was my last owned bike. (not this exact one) A pure beast that took some wrestling around corners...![]()

Triumphs
Saw the display on Sunday in MV - quite stunning - they come from a stockist in Petchaburi not HH.
Also on Saturday whilst returning from Petchaburi I saw this old beauty parked up in a service station.

The Thai owner was one of a party of 4 - there being old BMWs in the group.
This Thunderbird was exactly the same vintage as mine - 1959.
Problem is, mine was last seen at about 30ft in the air doing around 80mph - at least that was the speed I observed on the speedometer prior to 3 days of unconsiousness and 3 months in traction with a lot of broken bones!
I came to the conclusion that trying to park a T'bird on a roundabout, whilst doing a ton was not a good idea
Great bikes - wonderful sound - characteristic smell - not totally reliable but amazing 'crumpetpullers' in their day

A friend of mine had an old Triumph over here, I think a 1970's 'ish model. No matter what he did, he couldn't get it to stop leaking oil. Leave it parked for a few weeks and there was a lake under it. Sold it to a collector for a good sum from what I understand. Pete
