Just a quick one. Had to zoom up there today as a friend on the Cambodian side in difficulty. 3 hours my door Rayong to the Border Market. Probably because it was Sunday and normal being 4 hours on a weekday when more truck traffic.

Secure car parking 150 Baht for 24 hours. Thai out and Cambodia in very easy, but I used a broker as I have never been there before. I think I spent about 500 Baht in tips and snacks and they did all the running. All I had to do was walk out Thai, walk in Cambodia and the reverse. The Cambodian visa however was 1,200 Baht but I may have been cheated 100 baht or so. Three of the above moves were "go to the front of the line" because of the broker.

The absolute killer was that at the very end entering back into Thailand there were hundreds of backpackers jammed into a semi air conditioned room. Took me 90 minutes to get through. Broker can't help with that step. The baggage filled the room more than the humans did. The immigration people were definitely not rushed, slow motion to the extreme...Sunday mode possibly.

I was told if you need to make a visa run there, get there before 0900 in the morning and you'll be finished in less than an hour. Later in the day is a gamble.

Left home at 1000 hours and walked back in at 1830. Would have been 1730 without the problems with the last part. Friend is OK, he may never come back to LOS....LOL. Pete

Forgot to mention, the Cambodian visa is valid for 90 days (use it or lose it), and good for a 30 day stay in-country. Pete
