Steve G having finally managed to get this steam driven piece of crap i call a computer to navigate its way past the ASEAN summit fog of the internet and actually read your link :shock: :shock: :roll: :roll:
It appears that my mother (a scouse herself) was feeding me and my sisters on scouse (stew) at least twice a week except unlike the recipe on your link there was not an ounce of lamb it was always scrag end of mutton :cry: :oops: :wink: :wink: very tasty though :D :D

I remember eating something like that at home as well Sarge, and my Mother just called it Lamb stew. I certainly never heard it referred to as Scouse but it sounds the same to me consisting of meat, potato, carrot and onion cooked in a clear liquid.
