The Thai market hit an all time high at about 16,500 per baht a couple of weeks ago, so you are not far off the top of the market if you are selling at the moment.

I'm torn as well. I've got stuff here that was bought when it was 4,600. We've had them a long time and has amulets given to us by dear Thai friends. We wear them daily. It would be like parting with an old friend.

A friend bought a necklace for 27000 (about£360) Baht in 2005, He was offered £1000 from someone who goes to london to sell gold every few days.
The chap makes a small cut, But has been cashing in about £10k a week in gold while the price is good. People are going to him everyday.
