A good place to stop if you're going North...

Post by Vital Spark »

We often go to Kanchanaburi, and recently to Nakhon Pathom (to find a house to rent), and like to stop off for a snackette on the way. We've recently discovered (and love) the Cowboy Cafe - or whatever it's called just before you get to Ratchaburi.

They do fanatastic food at reasonable prices, and the ladies loos in the mock wigwam are superb. The food portions are large and the staff are lovely. It's also a nice stop if you're coming South. When you see a PTT station and another one that looks like Jet (but isn't), then you do a U-turn. If you want to continue down to Hua Hin, just go on the flyover, do another U-turn and it will bring you back down on the main road.

Right on VS,

We've been stopping there for years every time we venture up that way. I've had decent steaks there and very good burgers and the free p-nuts while you wait are a bonus. :D

I couldn't believe it when I first spotted that place. It's like the places our family used to stop at when we were touring the American west on our yearly vacations when I was a kid.

What's it doing in the middle of Thailand? :?
