Not sure if this will be its name but about 1/2km past our place a new 'bird park' is under construction.
Apparantly it is owned and will be run by the same organisation as the original 'Elephant Village' on the Pa La U Road.
Had a quick look yesterday and they already have some deer there too.
Nice to see some more things to do - especially for the kids.

Hope for Terry's sake they don't breed sea eagles!

They don't need any sea eagles - I've already got blue Kingfishers, Pied Kingfishers, Herons and other 'birdies' who regularly feed on my fish.
Problem is, I cannot charge them THB 40 / hr for the pleasure
Kendo
For sure I won't complain, as there will be a bit more 'passing trade'

Terry.
To scare the birds away from your lake, try small bamboo caines with old CD'S tied on with cotton, they will spin around in light breeze and this will scare them away.

Actually Kendo, I really don't mind them too much.
They only get the small Tilapia (Nin) anyway and to be truthful, they are really quite a beautiful sight - especially the Blue Kingfishers.

The kingfishers are really beautiful around here, I have some who come into the garden, and I am not a birdwatcher.
