sending flowers?
So my friend's birthday is comng up and I want send her flowers, is there a good florist in Hua Hin that takes orders over the internet?
Miked,
I think he's saying his friend lives in Hua Hin so he wants to order from a local florist...
There is a Thailand wide flower order and delivery service that has outlets in all provinces. I used them once and they were great; delivered on time right here in Hua Hin.
Sorry, but I found them with an internet search and don't remember their name. Just Google Hua Hin flower delivery and you'll find something.

Or try these, a lot of folk in the UK use them. There's a lot of choice on their site and it's a Brit/Thai company, or there's always interflora!

will that be her actual birthday, or her passport birthday, or her ID birthday, or her false ID birthday, or just a makey up verbal birthday. I knew a 'man' once who always seemed to pick girlfriends whose birthdays arrived within a few weeks of him returning home. Had they worked out the length of time a relationship lasts by email and phone, and a good present was better than letting him go altogether, or was my 'man' just unlucky. Flowers are a nice touch Retch, hope it works out for you.

Heh, well, afaik it is her real birthday, she told me it a while ago so I've been remembering it. Regardless, it's the day she's said so...
Yes, this is sending flowers in Hua Hin, I'll look at the places that have been mentioned, I wasn't sure which would be reliable when I googled it initially.
Thanks all.

Made fatal mistake of forgetting friends birthday in Chiang Mai 2 years ago and used this company.

From the time that I made the order, flowers were delivered within 4 hrs to her work address.
Good quality and seems order is centrally located and orders are passed onto local agents to complete orders.
Good follow up with confirmations etc, plus I get a reminder a week before the next birthday etc

You obviously don't know my wife or my extended family - it's unheard of to miss a birthday. And that was before she had been around farangs.T.I.G.R. wrote:I don't think Thai's are that big on celebrating birthdays......unless they've been hanging around falangs too long.
Give her some gold or perfume instead. She'll like that a lot better than flowers.

Yep, birthdays here are a big deal. I think the 1st for a baby has almost the highest significance (as it does in Hawaii) as historically many if not the majority of babies didn't survive to see it in the old days. My Thai ex Grandmother in-law had 11 kids back in the 50's and 60's and only four survived to see their 20th birthday.
Many also seem to use the Chinese custom counting cycles of every 12 years, with each new cycle being a great reason for a big party. Pete
