Hi all,

Has anyone been to Koh Talu ? Did'nt really want to go on the organised trip. Any advise appreciated.

Yep loads of times. If you don't want to take a tour you can drive there yourself and charter a boat. More details on Talu and the area in general here:

Just wondered if anyone has gone by train and if so is it straight forward

Yes, it takes an extra hour, costs 100 baht or so less and drops you in the middle of Bangsaphan Yai without a clue how to get to the islands!

Try the BS Guesthouse, which is located centrally ... if you really want more info try reading some of the stuff in the links or posting here ...
