What's happened to the Mini Farm shop

Restaurants, food, beverage, hawkers, and local markets and suppliers. This is the place for discussion on Hua Hin's culinary options.

What's happened to the Mini Farm shop

Post by barrys »

Last night I drove to the Mini Farm shop near the traffic lights next to the Ayudhya Bank to get some things and it was closed, stripped bare.

Have they closed down completely or just moved and, if so, where?

Does anyone know?

Hi Barry,

I think they've closed up shop for good. They had a niche market in Hua Hin for a while but I think the opening of Villa Market just down the road a bit did them in.

The same family still runs one of the best Thai restaurants in town; best in quality of food for value, imo. It is called Mini Farm Restaurant and is on Soi 88 just across the railroad tracks next to the 7/11.

Hi hhfarang

Thanks a lor for thah - I know the restaurant well - it's one of my favourite places to eat when I'm in Hua Hin.

I've just from someone who has heard from someone else that they've reopened their mini Farm shop close to the restaurant.

Can anyone confirm?

@ barry

Exactly! They moved the Minifarm Shop to their restaurant in Soi 88!
So no worries, they still exist...

What a shame they've had to close the Petkhasem Rd shop. It was a great little place. Handy for town centre people and those living to the north of HH. I remember it opening and used it often as it was close to Ayyudhaya Bank. Lovely staff as well, and much nicer IMO than Golden Place.
Lets hope it continues to do well at Soi 88

My wife knows the owners and they told her before Villa opened that they would probably have to close as a Villa almost across the street would take the majority of their business away. I knew they had a little empty shop on the property where the restaurant is and thought they were using that for a private air conned dining room for parties... guess that's now the market... good for them! :thumb:
