Rubbish

Post by Rob W »

Or rather where to put it.
Does Hua Hin have a rubbish dump \ land fill.
I have or will have quite a lot of rubbish to dispose of and would rather i made sure it went to a legitimate dump. I know I could pay a guy with a pick up to dispose of it but I would guess it would end up at the side of the road.
Does the municipality have such a place that I could use?
anyone know.

They're charging us 10 THB every month on top of the water bill for rubbish collection. We havn't had to pay a water bill for ages as it's lower than 100 THB.
And we have to take the stinky stuff out ourselves.
I'm really smelly.

When I had building rubbish to be removed, my wife came up with a couple of Thais with a truck and I paid them several hundred baht to remove it. I have no idea what they did with it....probably dumped it beside the road somewhere. :|

If you have the space, just dig a huge whole and bury the lot. That's what I did with all the building rubble. I just got someone to help me dig the hole and once we got to about six or seven feet, in went all the rubbish. Now, two years later, you would never be able to guess where it is. Feel sorry for the poor sod who tries to dig in that are in the future though.

Yes sought of. It appears that all rubbish is deposited there. Surprisingly, it is at the back of Palm Hills! (no joke). It is accessible from a side road from the road that leads into Palm Hills. Alternatively, you can access via the road that runs along the canal – just keep on heading north and the road peters out into an unmade road. You will know the site when you come across it. You can keep your bearings by seeing the high rise condos in the distance and to your right.
