Post by soulsurf »

Ok Ok The bars are cool...I retract what I said before...I have finally found a drink that I can enjoy thats not too sweet, not too hangover-ish...Gordon's Gin and Tonic Thank You Hua Hin!!! ..and I have found a few pretty cool bars where they don't hard sell the gals etc....I like to choose my conquests hehe...as if that's difficult here.
I have carnal encounters to add to the mix on that "special" thread.
And I finally saw SUN...ya know that big yellow ball that used to hang around?...Thank God/Buddha,Allah,Jah etc!!
Gettin over my time diff/jet lag/hangovers and feeling better.
See you mad HHADers
Cheers

Can you tell us which bar(s) you liked and why? Some of us long termers might need to know as we may have written off some places from previous visits or not know about some; also 'newbies' will find it helpful.
Cheers!

I like the crew at Valhalla and Nice & Easy too. I was not pressured/cuddled up to,though of course if u even look at one of the gals they may mozy on over.I feel we get enough of the hard sell just walkin around Hua Hin and at night it's nice to relax and have a drink or 3 without feelin like the target du jour...although I guess I'm "it" right now bein a new kid in town.I have made friends with the gals at Valhalla, and they know me now,and are pretty cool. One thing I've noticed though...and maybe some of you longtimers can help me here...some bars tend to be posessive and get kind of hurt?/insulted? if u don't go to their bar every day.
On another note,I had a great experience with the local PD...I went in to inquire about having stitches removed from my shoulder (had a growth removed in Bangkok, also excellent!) The cops directed me to the Red Cross one block up,and they were VERY kind and efficient and cheap! I recommend it. I am living in a guesthouse that has only cold shower, and is always damp and kind of depressing though cheap (300B/dy) Are there any guesthouses that are reasonably priced that someone can recommend?
Sorry if on wrong thread for that

Cheers,

Thanks Norseman! And Happy New Year to you as well!
I'm discovering cool little places every day and thanks to all on HHAD.
Without this site,I would never have moved here.
I'm still not sure of where exactly I'll end up,but it's all part of the adventure I guess.

Cheers!
