My wife & I are new to this forum. Great blogs and forum providing very useful info on living in Hua Hin.
We were coming to Hua Hin in Sept 2009 to look for retirement property to buy but forum info scaring the hell out of us with all pitfalls, dodgy lawyers and misleading info by agents.
Keep the info & comments coming, facts vital in any decision of this serious nature.

Shuggy, Wife & I (both british) have bought a place in Hua Hin and are very happy. No we are not developers and will not be retiring for another couple of years so not yet permanent in Hua Hin.
Mind you had I read this forum first I would never have purchased so we were very lucky not to read it.
If Hua Hin is so full of criminals, dodgey people, why is it such a popular place.
Go see a Lawyer & make up your own mind and not let the forum do it for you.

Thanks for advice. Guess its better to rent for a while and see the place for oneself before deciding to commit to buying in Hua Hin or anywhere for that matter in Thailand and then go to a reputable Bangkok lawyer who doesn't have connection in Hua Hin.
