Mercy House Orphanage

Hi All

We recently hosted a lunch on the beach at HH for 22 of the 27 kids from Mercy House... it had to be one of the most delightful days I think we have spent... the kids are just wonderful. Common problem tho... lack of donations. Rev. Wichai and his wife Wanphen are two of the most genuine people I have had the pleasure to meet.

What I'm suggesting is this... I want to raise 100,000 bht to cover their food expenses for the next 12 months... I'll pledge the first 25,000 bht, all I need is 75 HHAD members with 1,000 bht to spare and want to help these wonderful kids have a better life and less worry. Unfortunately I haven't got 100 baht to spare at the moment but keep up the good work, that includes Terry and Buks and whoevers helping out in other ways.

Sorry me again, wife wants to contribute as well.

Count me in as well, please, but let us know how/where you'd like the dosh.

Don't forget that there are a few people already helping out with food, clothes, days out, etc - it might be an idea to get in touch and find out what's already happening so that you don't wind up duplicating what's already happening.

Good statement dtaai-maai so why don't we keep just one post for the orphanage on behalf of HHAD community so that we do not duplicate.
Maybe Sealcat would like to be the custodian of the forum as well as others who greatly help the orphange like "Barry" for instance.

Thanks to everyone... and to London Boy and dtaai for their donation... if you want to PM me, I'll give you the bak details. Re duplicating, I don't think this will effect, as the money is specifically needed to feed the kids whilst at school, which starts Monday... clothes, food and outings are the icing on the cake so to speak.

I'd be happy to co-ordinate with Barry for MH.

It's quite easy (but longwinded if you have a lot).

At the top of the posting window you will see the UploadPic option ie:

That will bring up another window, where you need to locate each picture in turn using the Browse button ie:

When you have located your picture, press send. Your picture will be displayed ie:

You then have 2 options:

- If a single picture, or the last of a series of photos, select insert picture: standard

- If you have more photos to upload, choose insert picture and upload another one

I believe that you have to ask a Mod to enable this function.

Sorry, you're probably right. I've been on here so long that I've forgotten the dark days before the facility was provided

I thought it was automatic after X number of posts.
