Hua Hin Go Kart

Post by Lung Per »

My Thai wife has a son (don't they all?). He is 10 years old and normally lives in the village with his aunt. We had him over for Songkran but had a hard time keeping him away from the TV and its silly cartoons. UNTIL we took him to the Hua Hin Go Kart race tracks on Soi 2. What a treat. Even this old geezer (normally a conservative and careful driver) got caught by the gasoline fumes and spent a half day racing. It was not excatly cheap, but seeing the kid (and myself) happy as a , well, racedriver, was worth every penny. Go try it - at this time of the season they'll probably give you a good discount. Man, what a feeling

I agree with ya.
Had a nephew that was down visiting us from Bangkok and took him. Everyone thought he would be too scarred to ride......ha! total opposite.
Had a great time.

i agree too. used to have the impression that the place is being run the "thai way", and the go karts will be crap. Until my friends visited and i ran out of things to entertain them with, so we decided to try out Go Kart. We were pleasantly surprised to see and learn about the amount of dedication being put into maintenance of the place and vehicles to ensure safety and a worthwhile experience. It's actually cheaper than go karting in other countries/cities considering the standard of the entire operation.
