RATS IN THE ROOF

Post by Brit Jim »

Hi

My GF tells me that we may have a rat or something in the roof. She has heard something up there most evenings?

One of the neighbours has kindly put some Rat poison up there so hopefully this will solve the problem. Plus I ll put some traps up there

Is this a common problem? Any remedies?

I ve told her that its a more than likely a ghost or the EX GF haunting me!

:D

That's the quickest way to get rid of her if that's what your after, but yes, rats are common in attics and in crawl spaces. The problem is that they will eat anything including your light fixtures, the ceilings, and especially any wiring that is not enclosed in conduits, like your internet wire, your cable wire, or your satellite wire!

Best to get rid of them!
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

Hey Crazy88 do you know that Tip that you gave actually works out greatly.
As I remembered back then @ Stamford Univ. we had a lot of problems with mice crawling around in the roof. @ both Male & Female Dorm.
Then three fellow Students grabbed 2 or 3 of them cats that we had around Campus which we know really well stuck em first under the Male Dorm roof as expiriment Xzibit A. And after three days ET Viola!!!
Many Mouses where eatin and the rest escaped back to ground level where they will be also eaten by them same Cats.

a Very nice Idea in deed!!!

The cats is a GREAT idea!

Nice One Crazy

We have a few strays on the Soi so maybe I can coax them into the house
with some freshly cooked chicken! I was thinking about getting a cat anyway so maybe this is my opportunity. :)

rats are clever little buggers, so if you kill the ones you have eventually more will just move in to fill up the vacant space...

a cat is a long term detrerrent, and good company..... one or two will keep the place vermin free as long as they are about.

My neighbour put 2 in his roof to chase out the birds that had got in .Did not take long and gave him the time to seal the roof .Then I inherited the cats .
