US WW1 monument

Post by charlesh »

just watched a snippet showing Frank Buckles - last WW 1 US survivor. He is still fighting for a monument for those that fell in the Great War.

Can you believe that the US apparently doesn't have 1???
PS Yes I know they did show up a bit late though.

I always thought either Arlington or The Wall (for Vietnam) were the US versions of our Cenotaph.......particularly Arlington Cemetary.

Be careful chucking stones mate.....there are a whole raft of Korean War names waiting to be added to UK memorials....or have they fixed that little omission yet?
