Rollerblades in Hua Hin?

Post by solo »

Hi, my daughters birthday in a couple of weeks and she wants a pair of rollerblades. like modern rollerskates.
Does anyone know if you can buy them in Hua Hin?
Before you answer (or dont answer) she lives in Phuket so she wont be running into you down phetkasem.
If not in Hua Hin any ideas in Bangkok?
Thanks

Not sure about Hua Hin but I've seen them in a sports shop in MBK, Bangkok.

Roller Blades

I haven't seen any around HH, and have only seen a handfull of people skating on them here. I would think traffic and road conditions make it a unplesant experience at least here in HH.
In the US, I used to go skating with some friends, from Redondo Beach, along the ocean boardwalk, all the way up to Kit Carson Beach parking lot and back, would make for a great fun day 56 miles round trip. People over there in the US take skating seriously.
Wish they did here, I still have a pair of blades but never use them.

My daughter wanted some for xmas so I tried Hua hin - no joy.
Found them in Bangkok Central World in the sports dept. They were quite expensive - 6 - 8 K and only stocked small sizes. M daughter is a size 8 and she couldn't find any to fit her.
I bought some on ebay for 40 quid including p+p to my mate in Uk.
He brought them over for her - when she opened them they were labled MADE IN THAILAND :?

Well glad she has a pair now. Isn't that kind of ironic, made in Thailand, they took a long way around to get back home.
Hope she has fun with them.

Cheers- :D
