Renaldo

Post by huahinsimon »

Don't let the door hit you on the ass on your way out. Renaldo and Kaka: the clash of taitanic egos. I hope Paris and entourage are there for a few games dressed in US style sexy pom-pom girls. not for Real Madrid but for Ronnie. I wish him the best-will be great to see the games against FC Barcelona. The most expensive players do not always make the best team, i.e. NY Yankees last couple of years.

I hope Manu can keep Teves, cry Furgie, cry, and give a fist full of pounds.

You obviously missed the news hhs - Tevez will not be at Man Utd next season, although his new club is not yet known. However apparently they are a Premier League side, which means either Chelsea, Man City, Liverpool or West Ham...ok, not the last one but I can dream can't I? Apparently Tevez said that he did not feel 'loved' at Old Trafford, meaning by the management rather than the fans. I think this is probably the first big mistake SAF has made as both Ronaldo and Tevez will be hard to replace. One of them would have been OK but both leaves too big a hole in the squad I think.

Tevez is a similar player to Rooney and it never balanced right with them both in the team. Rooney plays better with a sharp striker in front of him who can hold the ball (Van Nist type) so I don't think Fergus will worry too much about loosing Tevez. ManUre has always looked stronger with flying wingers and with Giggs getting old and wingebag (Ronaldo) leaving the team will be struggling. Fergus has a wise head when it comes to spending but it may be a problem this season with Madrid, Man City and Chelski all ready to throw big bucks to get the top players.

I hope there will be a shift at the top and it would be nice to see Liverpool win and another team break the top four (Man City)

Spain will be the same again (as Scotland)....only 2 teams competing :|

They should also dump Rooney while they can, he's already past his best-before date and useless in big games. He's Gascoigne II, great talent and a 5p brain.

Never understood what the fuss was about. Just another over-rated thug.

Ronaldo should have been booted out the door, after winking when Rooney was sent off in the 2006 World Cup. The Portugal team excel at cheating and it's a fundamental part of their game.

Shirt-pulling, diving, unbelievable 'effin, ferkin', effin' swearing. Abusing and ganging up on the refs. The media releasing phone numbers and email addresses of refs, leading to death threats. It's unbelievable what they can get away with when they call it 'sport'. I love sport myself and was very active when younger yet Football lost its appeal to me a long time ago. Just as athletics and cyclists, with too many drug cheats. Having some drunk piss down the back of your leg on the terrace, then laugh at you is not my idea of a fun day out. :(

ManUre are nothing without Ronaldo and Rooney...Everytime Fergus tried to rest them he had to bring them on as subs to rescue the game.

Rooney (once a blue always a blue) is a talent and can turn a game ... he needs to be played in the correct position (not as a winger) and needs players around him to perform.

I used to coach kids football and had to warn the kids that if any of them gave the referee any back chat I would substitute them.
The parents were as bad..complaining about some refs....I challenged them to do a better job or even try !!

We should respect the referees at all levels and in all sports...without them we dont have a game !!

It was great to see Drogba getting a lenthy ban....yes the referee made mistakes in the CL semi final but the players are 'crying wolf' and it was the fault of UEFA who should of used a more experienced ref.

Agree with Mr.Plum

"Ronaldo should have been booted out the door, after winking when Rooney was sent off in the 2006 World Cup.'

Undeniable talent but a bad role model for the sport

Agreed, SAF told Ronaldo to show the fans that him and Rooney are more than just team mates and that Rooney has forgiven him.

I think they'll miss eachother :thumb:

Sounds like Scotland to me :D

I'm not trying to do down Scottish football - just reflecting upon how Scottish friends describe old firm games. It'd be a bit conspicuous these days with all seater stadiums.
Championship Plymouth Argyle 1 - 0 Hull City

Points 51; Position 21
Consolidated - Championship Next Season
