Well, despite losing the series, these Lions will probably go down as the best Lions side ever to lose a test series. The second test last saturday was one of the most exciting and brutal games I have ever seen. Sadly no Scots in the matchday side but the 'togetherness' of the other three nations in the team was inspiring. Absolutely gutted for them - a tour that will end with lots of 'ifs, buts and maybes' for the Lions but they have restored pride and honour to the Lions concept after the 2005 debacle. Unfortunately, I don't think the 3rd test is going to be as competitive because of the injuries the Lions have suffered but they certainly do not deserve to be on the end of a whitewash after two of the closest and most monumental tests in Lions history.

Hurrah for The Lions!!

Totally agree.

I have been hurting since Saturday nights 80th minute kick. Yes many ifs and buts and not getting the rub of the green but what a game of sport it was.

Pissed off that this Saturdays game has had the lid put on it a bit as it promised and should have been another thriller!

ps I'm sure the touch judge saw a foot in touch for the 3rd try but just wanted confirmation from the 4th official

I'm incredibly suspicious about the fact that the only view not covered adequately for the disputed try was the one needed - or was it a conspiracy?

The heart was ripped out of the Lions with the succession of injuries, at least one of which was illegal.

But, but, despite it all, why oh why was that last minute penalty conceded - it just wasn't needed, the game was finished in any case and it would have been a draw with all to play for next week.

The challenge by O'Driscoll with the SA (can't think of name), where the SA got up, then lost his balance and went down as if a boxer had caught him square on the chin was truly awesome to see - and for a while O'Driscoll was able to carry on!!!

I've just heard on the radio the South African coach's comments on his man receiving an 8 week ban for the eye gouging incident. Whether you agree with what he said or not, he should be penalised for saying it in public. Rules is rules, and a man in his position should be setting an example, not encouraging young kids to gouge each other's eyes out.

I am so angry at us losing an 8 point lead with 12 minuets to go I cant speak.

We basically had them and threw it away. I was listening to it on the radio which probably made it sound worse. But bloody hell...

We lost the series and that hurts a lot...

Even as I type this Murray is making a hash of it at wimbledon. He will prob win but bloody hell if he's making a meal of it at this early stage what hope does he have when he reaches the last eight...

Basically none!!!!!

Losing both props (Botha has been banned for 2 weeks for the shoulder charge that put Adam Jones off the pitch) and having to play uncontested scrums for the last half hour killed us more than anything. We were stuffing them up front but after that every scrum meant a rest for the SA front five. The Beast was tamed and Smit contained but allowed back into the game by a combination of bad luck - Habana's rock hard head put paid to both Jenkins and O'Driscoll - and foul play.

As for De Villiers; the bloke clearly has no class and confirmed what most Boks fans already knew about him - ARSEHOLE!!! He has just had to make a hasty retraction of his comments (that basically condoned eye gouging) at a press conference with the chief of the SARFU. Nobody in rugby will ever respect him again, no matter what his teams achieve.

Fabulous, fabulous performance by The Lions today. Must admit I had a lump in my throat at the end!

De Vile-iers Boks definitely got their 'Justice' today in the heaviest defeat ever meted out to them by the injury ravaged Lions! What a petulant, unsporting and pathetic display those armbands were. This Boks team may be world champs and have some superb players but in terms of character and integrity they are a world away from Kitch Christie's team of 1995.

couldn't agree more, super game of rugby!!!

hard to single out a candidate for today's m-o-m as it was such a terrific all round team performance.
