House Insurance

Has anyone got up to date information about house insurance. Mine runs out in two weeks. I know some companies have stopped trading.

Anyone renewed recently? Nothing special no marauding buffalo or wild elephants here.

Here's a place to start. I've used them for two years here in Rayong and no complaints. Don't be concerned about the AIG connection. They're doing well and very solvent here in Thailand. Policy is in English as well if you request. Pete

Try Bangkok bank i have a two year policy untill November then up for renewal.
When i took the policy out i was offerd one to five years but settled for two, the cost was 5 or 6 thousand baht can't quite remember.

All they wanted was some photos that they e-mailed down to Korat, and it was sorted in a couple of hours the T and C's were in thai and english and yes we are covered for elephants crashing through the property, one thing i did not check for was war or political unrest, these i am sure wont be covered but i will check in november when i renew as we are only 20km from the Cambodian border and of late they do like to have a few border spats.

Hope this helps.

Kendo.
