weapons laws

Post by LAnative »

I read that owning a weapon in T-land is forbidden by law. Is that true? Don't they make exceptions for business owners and those wishing to protect their homes? Just curious.

There has been a discussion about that on this forum recently.

Why are Americans so obsessed with guns? All that therapy seems a bit useless when so many think in terms of just shooting their problems.
Simple minds, simple solutions?

guns

Post by LAnative »

Don't own a gun, don't like the smell of the gunpowder after firing one, had one briefly years ago, my "uncle" Sam taught me to use one very accurately. I just wanted to know if HH LOCALS owned any. Question not answered.
Plane ticket booked months ago, arrival early Oct.

Roel answered it for you in the first reply you had, just like your 'water supply' question was answered first time round but you forgot 3 days later. Either you're that 'Honolulu HJ Jimmy' character who used to mess with the board or you're genuinely a waste of space.

forein expressions

Post by LAnative »

LOVE the new expressions I've learned on this forum and will be integrating them into my vocabulary viz "Charlie Bigspuds" (in American Spanish "Heuvos grande" or Cajones), "Cowboy up" similar to Australian "Dry your eyes, Mate" references to Cornholing as a legitimate sport etc
I also learned that golf balls actually DO need balancing and that wasn't a euphemism, that T-land isn't for the faint hearted, a sense of humor is VITAL to living there but one is not permitted to express it if not part of the in group, learned the definition of troll etc. Seriously, good stuff. I love learning new things!
Thanx to all!

The last time I carried a loaded gun was just before I left the Royal Navy nearly twenty years ago, and I've never needed one since, and certainly not around Hua Hin!

LAN did refer to weapon and not gun. I guess he is used to handling a weapon.
I expect with his eloquence he will be able to talk himself out of any situation whether he owns a business or not!

independence day

Post by LAnative »

Johnny "Zigzag Papers man"K and Randy "Frank Zappa" Cornhole- In honor of July 4 American Independence Day from Britain do me the honor of "firin' up a bowl" for the US. I'm sure you know what I mean.
By the way, what are the laws regarding the use of Marijuana in T-land? In Indonesia being caught with it is subject to the Death penalty!!

If the BIB catch you with any drugs, they will relieve you of half of it and charge you for possession of the other half.

You will then find yourself in the Bangkok Hilton sharing a cell with 50 men, all vying to be your proctologist and calling for your mummy.

Go for it, it will really liven up your trip to the LOS. :thumb:
