Taxi Hua Hin

Post by curber »

Just go up one level to the arrivals at Swampy ...grab a taxi...should pay somewhere between 1700 and 2300 baht to anywhere in Hua Hin...most drivers have some English

Last time (Aug. 2008) I went with my own car, but I asked at the public taxi exit on arrival floor. They said 2500 Baht to Hua Hin. (They did not know of any town called Pranburi).

BaaBaa,

Mrs BB has to make an emergency trip to Thailand on Monday. Your contact sounds good - can you please confirm the pronunciation of the surname ie is the third letter pronounced L or R? Alternatively, is it a silent R?

I heard about Mr Toom and his service from a few friends who were always very positive on him. We tried him and were very pleased with service, price, etc.

You can reach Mr. Toom by email or phone

toom39@msn.com

or call

He does seem to stay busy but last minute can also work

Just a quick update/warning regarding Khun Vira. Mrs BB phoned him (speaking in Thai) this morning.

She asked, "How much?"

He asked "Where are you flying from?"

She replied, "England."

He said, "3,000 Baht."

She explained that she'd been told it was 1,800 Baht.

He explained that she had to pay for him to drive to Bangkok.

She said, "Forget it."

In addition to that, it was 1pm Thai time, and my wife said he was drunk!

I've PM'd you my regular Taxi who is 1000000% reliable, the reason I didn't post her in the first place is because her English is poor. (Her husband is the driver)

Obviously no problem for your lady.

I can vouch for this one totally and she has never let me down in 3 years.

In fact she turns up too bloody early for the trip to Suvarnabhumi.

Thanks again BaaBaa :thumb:

If you read the 'Land of Snarls' thread, you'll see it's sorted.

I generally go to the top level of the airport and get one for 1500, sometimes with no haggling and sometimes on the second or third try.

You definitely don't need to pay more than 1800.

Just tell them the normal price is 1500 and that is what you will pay. Tip them at the end of the service is good.
