Philosophical Questions

Post by PeteC »

This can't be any worse than conspiracy threads? :D

If you had a choice to live to the age 200 and enjoy the physical and mental life of someone half that age up to your death at age 200, would you choose that if a proviso was that throughout your entire lifetime you could not have any children? Pete

No - my view of life is that you should live as long as you can while enjoying it as much as possible, and in my case having kids has been the biggest enjoyment of all so far; it also has the potential to be the biggest heartbreak as well but without doubt the gamble is worth it, particularly as you control the odds to a large extent! I would imagine the last 40 to 60 years of the 200 could be pretty miserable with all the aches and pains without the joy of children and grandchildren.

so you can live an extra 100 years with the mental & physical age a hundred year old
no thanks, that could be torture!!! :(

i don't think i'd want to live to a 100, never mind 200 :|
now if it were the mental & physical age of 50, i might be tempted
