I have tried to browse the internet with IE7, IE8, Safari, Firefox and Opera 10.2beta. The Opera browser are in its own class. Where IE8 and the rest of the browser uses 30 sec. to open an overseas website, Opera 10.2 (beta) does the same job in a very few seconds. It has solved my frustration about slow conections. Now let it solve yours !

I just installed Opera 10.2, but I can't see any improvement compared to IE8. It seems to open the page quicker, but until the page is finished it takes about the same time. I have a very slow connection via Ipstar satellite.

Just avoid the Opera Unite feature. Security nightmare waiting to happen that one.

You have to enable the turbo or automatic function to browse fast. Take a look down at the left side in the browser. [/img]
Thx. This turbo function seems to help a lot. So I will give it a further try. But the problem of no access to the modem is still there and I need it to see if the connection is broken or building up again.
