(throat clearing sounds) er.. hi. I've lurked for a bit and thought I should introduce myself proper like. I've been in LOS for just over 7 years, have been married to a Thai native for the last 5 years. We live in suburban Bkk, but have recently bought a wee bit of land near HH and look forward to building a summer \ retirement home there. As I said I've lurked for the last little while to try and get a feel for the place and it looks just fine to me. Hello! :D

No, of course not, quite the opposite. It's always good to ensure new members have read it from the outset to prevent any misunderstandings further down the line.

Welcome Shunpike,

It will be interesting to hear about your move from Bangkok to Hua Hin! :D
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

Cheers then...thanks for the welcome... As I posted, I lurked on and off for a while and was generally impressed with the civil tone, and good natured banter, sensed a real community here.

Yes, I have to agree. Most of the banter is light hearted, and provides me personally with entertainment. Just join in, and enjoy yourself.

Welcome Shunpike! Good to see you kicked off your shoes before entering. Maybe something that should be included in the forum terms and conditions?

Necking beer while posting is optional!

Shunpike, as you are a new member and therefore at risk of being mislead by appearances, I have sent you a PM the detailing for your benefit complete insider information of the HHAD website, it’s general tone, participants, their dark secrets, rumors, loyalties, crimes, nasty habits, sins, perversions and other nasty stuff.

Forewarned is forearmed!

Cheers Farang, though I must say the your description of the PM sounded a bit more salacious than it actually read.. :(

I've lurked for a month or so, after I bought land down there. A good way to get the feel of any forum is to read for a bit, get to know the tone of the place. This forum feels like sitting down for a cool one at the local and catching up on the news/gossip..a nice place!
