Picture framers?
Picture framers?
I noticed that the picture framers on the second floor of Market Village have disappeared! Are they still in the area? Any suggestions of other custom picture framers in town?

There is a good guy just past Index on opposite side going out of town ,very small open fronted place.Did a nice job for us.

I use the small shop on your left before the 'commune' -or whatever it is -and big traffic lights in the city (if you come from south). Between Soi 78 and Damnoen Kasem. Very good service and large choice of material.

I need someone to repair a frame... never saw that report you promised. Did you ever get around to checking them out?
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?
My wife is a pastel artist and does some very nice work, her little girl paintings are awesome.
Would like to have some of her work framed but it requires special care being pastel.
Must have acid free backing.
Must have raised glass (so it will not touch the painting) which typically
requires 2 or three levels of matting.
Anyone aware of a place that can do the above for us?

Following this suggestion by Babylon above, this is the guy I used for the pics I had framed. I thought I posted on it at the time but perhaps I didnt. They were not exactly friendly or happy to see me when I walked in, but they did a very nice job on the large posters I had framed, plus two smaller prints with glass.I use the guy, in a small soi, by the minibus to Bkk station, its a small shop but I have never been disapointed. It is directly behind the photo shop which is oppoite the small Esso / Tescos.

Ok, an update and corrections on this thread. I had a frame that was damaged in shipment from the U.S. and it finally separated and just came apart. It was a fairly expensive job originally as it is quite big (almost 2 meters by 1.5 meters) so I wanted to get it reframed (repaired) using the same frame.
We live in the south end of town so going up Phetkasem road we stopped at all the ones mentioned on this thread in the order that we came to them.

It was like asking him to repair or reframe using our materials was an insult to him. We asked one of the artists that do oils down in the tourist district (that my wife knows) where they got their framing done and he said most of the artists go to a place called "All Frames" on Chomsin road. We went there and it turned out to be the same couple who used to be on the second floor at Market Village.
