EMS Letters

Post by lomuamart »

If I'm expecting a letter by EMS, do I have to sign for it? I'd prefer that it went to my PO Box, so obviously I'm not going to be there when it arrives.
Thanks.

If I'm not mistaken, the Post Office will not send any registered post to a P.O. Box number, think that also includes EMS. See section on 'Advice of Delivery'.

Thanks for the link. It dosn't look like EMS is registered mail. I'll check at the Post Office. My letter hasn't gone off to The Embassy yet - they reply by EMS, so I can tailor the return address to the PO's requirements.

Lomu,

I've received stuff that I had to sign for before using my P.O. box (don't remember if it was EMS) and it should be no problem. They hold the item downstairs and put a note in the P.O. box that they have it.

You just go to the window downstairs and give them the note and they will find the item and have you sign for it.
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?
