Is there a place on HHAD where one can find out where to buy things not usually found here?

For example - I've been trying to find a skipping rope in Hua Hin but with no luck. (Even been to Home-pro in the hope of suitable rope! But no)

Any suggestions?

ADW. try somewhere that sells sporting gear (boxing), I am sure that they will have one as they are used in boxing training.

Thanks Chelsea - I've tried sporting shops, but not boxing specific. I think there is one at the Grand now, I'll try there.

Cheers!

ADW, there is a Gym at the Grand Hotel I think, other than that, there is a big Tesco in the Market Village Centre, I am sure that they have a Sports Section there.

I bought one at Tesco Lotus, made out of plastic tubing but seems OK, has wooden handles.

Plenty of different types of rope in the boat chandlery shops in Paknampran and the Swiss rope factory in Pranburi - shouldn't be too hard to put the handles on yourself

My old boxing trainer used to make us skip using his own brand of "speed" skipping rope which consisted of:

2m of electrical flex connected to 2 handles with 50lb monofilament fish line. Because of the mass of the copper wire in the electrical flex it rotates super fast and becuase of the mass in the electrical flex it kept young toes skipping and out of the way. Painful on the ends of little toes on cold mornings, but really good exercise. (In fact when I hit 35 I revisited the speed skipping rope and realised just what a great way it was to get in shape.)

On the klong road, a little past the traffic light head away from HH you'll find a shop on the right which sell everything, from a nail to a ........ Just look for the cement tables and water tanks standing outside. They have skipping ropes most times if you browse around.
Don't try to impress me with your manner of dress cos a monkey himself is a monkey no less - cold fact

Isn't a boomerang just a bent piece of wood of undetermidable colour...?

It must be easy to fashion one from an old fallen tree...?

Isn't a boomerang just a bent stick?

Well actually no...
A Boomerang is actually shaped in cross-section to provide lift as per a wing, and was a pretty nifty invention way ahead of it's time pre-dating Da Vinci and the Wright Brothers by oh, several thousand years....
