Korean detained in Pattaya for throwing away money

Post by Spitfire »

Korean Tourist detained following bizarre incident in Naklua.

Pattaya, September 24: On Thursday Morning Pattaya Police Officers received an urgent call to the Naklua Road close to the intersection with Soi Potisan following reports of a Korean Tourist who was walking in the center of the road and giving out his money to passing motorists. Fearing an accident, members of the public detained the man and called the Police. During this time, he collapsed and appeared to mentally break-down. For his own safety, Mr. Kim Sun Hee from South Korea who was carrying a substantial amount of Thai and Korean currency was taken to Hospital for a psychiatric assessment and Korean Embassy Officials were contacted so they could provide assistance to the man.

Strange one this, wish I'd been there, funny, never know what's going to happen in Pattaya, it really is the lunatic magnet of Thailand.

Not really that strange. He most likely fell in love some time ago and his heart forget where his brain was. Lavished a lot of emotion and money on a woman and got dumped, or enlightened.

So, good reaction when drowning your sorrows is giving your money away to strangers who probably need it more than she did, deep breaths and break the memory.

Of course, a dozen other scenarios could be true as well, but I bet it was am emotional cleansing ritual. Pete

Could be Pete, not thought of a cleansing ritual, fits the glove so to speak, the Koreans are quite out there like the Japs, easy to let the little head do the thinking in Pattaya, I suppose, maybe he was a newbie. However, like you said, never know with this bunch.

Maybe a relative of the esteemed leader endeavouring to undermine the Baht too!!!!
Strange that they should do a psych ex. on a bloke giving away coin - the reverse is often the case and is the norm ha, ha.
