We actually see the dolphins quite often on our tours - about a 50-50 success rate of spotting them
There are 2 types, both of which are now endangered and officially protected here:
Irrawaddy Dophins and Pink Bottle-Nosed Dolphins
The population here is said to number around 30-40 animals
A few months ago we saw a few very young ones - a great sign that they're breeding anyway.
The most likely place to spot them is between Kao Kalok and Dolphin Bay, of course.

Dolphins are every where in Perth saw a pod of them this morning in the Swan river when dropping my son to school.The Swan River is extremely clean, the area in which I saw them is about 30 Klms from the mouth of the river and is right in the middle of the city. They actually get down near the river where I live and thats about 50klms from the mouth of the river
