& your stance seems to have been the most popular one judging by the viewing figuresBig Boy wrote:As far as I'm concerned, today was a non-event. If they want to play stupid games by making it internet or cinema only, then I for one have no interest in today's game. I will not be watching highlights or anything else.

one defeat & the critics are all out in force again

is it really merited after qualifying with a 100% record & 2 games to spare?

it was a dead rubber for england & after rob green got the red card, a bit of a tall order.
to be fair the players stuck to their task even though most were well under par

maybe this game would have been a good time to throw in some of the fringe players? maybe the belarus game??

Remember, no one can make you feel inferior without your consent.
Gerrard is out also, and probably for this weeks PL as well.BaaBaa. wrote:Altered that for you mate!prcscct wrote:Rooney's out on Wednesday, and perhaps for this weeks PL match. Stay tuned.Pete

Hands up all those who would like to see Maradonna`s Argentina kicked out of the world cup by Uruguay. Not that I`m bitter about the "hand of God" incident of course.
It's the same deal that happens over and over again in all sports. A person has a big name and career and for some unknown reason it's assumed they will make a good coach.
More often than not it's the exact opposite in that the lesser known players emerge in later years as great coaches. I guess they had to work harder when playing and had a better mentality about what a 'team' means.
In Maradonna's case you can add in years of drug abuse as a bonus. I'll be happy to see him go down in flames. Pete

Nope. That was a must win game but they still need to win tonight or they'll be in the playoff.Big Boy wrote:I thought Argentina qualified last SaturdayArcadian wrote:Hands up all those who would like to see Maradonna`s Argentina kicked out of the world cup by Uruguay. I personally hope they qualify, I'd prefer to see the likes of Messi and Mascherano at the tournament than not.

The Irish turned out to have had a very good chance against the French, and it all turned on the hand of Henry! That was terrible to see and once again the cries will come out for the technology. It took seconds for French TV to show it in all its clarity, ball going past him and out of play by the far post, out comes his hand to keep it in play, no chance of keeping it in play otherwise, a 4 yard pass to Gallas who headed into an empty net.
