back to this thread after a while away,
the carport and garage roof have been completed,
if there are any gaps in the joints then sand down some of the wood and mix it with some glue, and simply fillin the holes.
this is a good way of filling gaps or holes in floor boards also but use PVA glue.

Great looking model, seems like for the tropical climate a metre or so overhang would be very advantageous. It keeps the house cooler by providing shade to the windows during the heat of the day, also protects the windows from rain coming in, and last but not least it looks good.
Moving away from house models for the moment; (Very interesting tho' they be), does anyone know where you can get the balsa wood sheets as in the photos, here in Hua Hin? Also the balso cement?
I would like to make some balsa wood aircraft for my two lads (& me ). I can recall having lots of fun doing this as a kid - before I found out about women, booze & cigs!
