Nice job CND, can I ask how much that cost, and how long it took to put up? Tha plot of land looks to be around 250 sq. wa...am I close?
Looks good, bit of rendering and some paint and you've got a nice wall there!
Thanks Shunpike, I am very happy with it. The land is a full Rai so not including the gates, it was 154 linear meters, 2 meters high.
They have numerous options available when it comes to style of wall, so not sure how the pricing works. My quote was 1600 baht/m......and I got a small discount off that.
They have a website that shows all the different styles if you are interested.
Chopsticks, one side is what you might call "finished" and the other "rough". I choose to have the "rough" side out. The inside, the side I will see, is the "finished" side and can be painted as it is. I suppose it depends on who will see the rough side whether or not it gets rendered and painted. I will do at least 2 sides, maybe 3 as they will be seen from the road.
Migrant, it is all pre-cast concrete. The materials are all delivered to the site and assembled there. The vertical posts are concreted into the ground and have slots in them to accept the ground beam, the fence panels and the top beam. The whole project took about 3 weeks I guess, crew camped onsite as usual.
I can see the advantages in having it pre-cast as the quality can be controlled and it's quicker to complete than the conventional method.
How about costs though, I guess it's more expensive than brick built ? or does the saving made by not having it rendered and painted make it competitive ?
