Got dragged down to Khao Tao last night so the kids could loy their grathongs in the lake there. It was pretty busy but there was ample parking in the temple, decent traffic control, loads of food stalls and one noisy bugger hollering into a mike.

I wonder who will be on clean-up duty today, it's hardly the most environmentally friendly festival!

I observed Loy Kratong in the wife's village. The villagers really got a laugh when I in my still somewhat helpless Thai inquired about the Lung Katoy festival. Ah well, made a few new friends after all...
