BBTJ : Not up to much but there is a small second hand book stall across the road from the police station or alternatively see the post on members book swap and see when the next one is.
There is one on the corner across from the train station. Also one on soi 94 just west of Petchkasem Rd. Both say they exchange books. They also have books in multiple languages.
Wasn't someone supposed to be opening a farang book store last year? I seem to remember talk of either in Kao Takiap or MV.
In the meantime Billys Bar should be as good a place as any to exchange books. I really can't understand why HH is so lacking in the book department, especially when you see the number of shops in Chiang Mai for example
Ye Olde Buffalo Tavern set up a book club a few months back and will do you a deal regarding books - go and talk to Bill and you can also see what they have on offer; their collection is pretty big now.
(Canadian) Barry's bar out on Pala'U road swaps books. He had about 50 for trade the last time I was in there. It's in a shophouse (rightmost stall of about a 5 shop house) across from the La Valee development (open every day, breakfast, lunch and dinner except Monday). Good place for a beer, burger and a chat while you're swapping books too!
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?
Another new bar, Bobby's on Soi 102 swaps books. He has only been open for a couple of weeks so his selection is a bit limited at the moment, but I found two I wanted to read yesterday. It's another good place for a beer, meal, or expat chat (out of the tourist zone) as well!

I don't think so Margaret. This Bobby has been in Hua Hin for many years and previously owned the popular Bobby's Good Friends restaurant and bar in the center of Takiab.
Really nice guy (for a Brit! ).

Where on 102 is Bobbies?
I've lost my mind and I am making no effort to find it.
About a kilometer west of the railroad track on the left side (big well lighted sign).

I went to Barry's on Non Plub Rd this morning and changed some books. He had about 150/200 books and besides which he is a very nice and friendly person.
Absolutely, Barry is a Hua Hin long timer. He has run at least three different bars here successfully and is a really nice interesting guy to talk with.
He was one of the first people I met six years ago on my first visit and is still a good friend.
