Why Do Farangs Marry the Ugliest Thai Girls?

I am one of many hundreds (maybe thousands) of Farang men trapped in to marriage every year by an ugly Thai girl. When we're trapped, I don't know why, but these girls look acceptable - often beautiful.

Once we're married, many of these girls suddenly need extensive cosmetic surgery to make them look acceptable. Certainly where I live there seems to have been an epedemic of ugliness eg:

- Nose Jobs - the nose that once made their Oriental faces look so attractive to us, suddenly becomes an almighty eyesore. They have to have huge conks inserted on to what was a pretty face. I've often explained to my wife that in the UK, we put on big noses to look stupid (clowns, pinochio, etc). How successful are they? Well there are at least 2 Thai ladies walking around Bristol who can smell around corners.

- Boob Jobs - are we really so inadequate that we have to marry somebody with breasts too small to fit our Farang hands? So why do we have to bother planting a bit of silicon into our wive's body?

There are a few with other false bits, but noses and boobs are top of the list.

I don't mind other's wive's deforming their bodies, but my gripe is that when for example one wastes hundreds of pounds on a nose job, they try to put pressure on their other Thai friends to start wearing a freak nose. Can't they see that a Farang nose on a Thai face is halfway to Michael Jackson?

Fortunately, Mrs BB is happy with what her parents gave her.

It's nothing new BB. With the first Mrs. P way back in the early 70's in the States all the Thai and Vietnamese wives communicated about wanting to have these things done.

I think it has to do with 'fitting in'. They see white skinned female westerners with big boobs and longer noses and perhaps feel they would be better accepted? Just a hunch but I think at the root of the issue. Pete

More than a few falangs could make good use of
1) Nose job to correct the sagging, pock-marked crimson blob many wear on their face
2) Gut lift/liposuction to restore some measure of manliness from the bovine fringe
3) Tit lift (see #2)
4) Chin reduction from four chins to two, one if they are lucky.
5) Restorative dentistry (yank 'em and get falsies). Teeth cleaning a lost cause.

Won't make them good looking, only less frightening...

Couldn't agree more BB. If there was a poll as to whether men actually liked false boobs, I think many would say no.

I've never met a woman who is entirely satisfied with the way she looks. One can blame the marketeers, fashionistas, celebs and impossible-to-achieve Barbie brainwashing. Beauty is wonderful but not when 98% of women are unhappy with their appearance. It's probably 100% when you look at some of the problems beautiful women have.

Maybe it's me but as a male 'consumer' the idea of a mouth full of silicon is a complete turn off. The lip injection fad is also very Frankenstein-ish.

The poor lady in this picture must be distraught at how she now looks. Terrible price to pay to try and stay young and beautiful.



My Thai g/f mentioned a boob job once. I tried the carrot approach to dissuade her... 'You are perfect as you are. Like a wisp of gossamer on a summer evening', which didn't quite seem to convince, so I made it a little easier... 'If you change one hair on your head bugger off and find someone else. If I want plastic in my life, I'll buy some Tupperware.'

JK i was just using my observation skills and my detective skills tell me the second picture was well earlier than the first

its all in the earings if her old man has paid for all the surgery necessary to change her to the picture on the right he would be flat broke no earings
seems the earings in the left pic fit better to some bankrupt husband to me

Hard to decide though was it:-
a....She has been entertaining the Fleet and made enough money to pay for the surgery and the earings
b....She was entertaining the fleet and ended up looking like the pic on the left

Well BB I think the heading is a bit misleading, I think my wife is beautiful and and having met you and your lovely wife she is beautiful to, cannot say the same about us
Why do Thais want to change their looks they are amongst the most beautiful women in the world IMHO.
I suspect a lot of it is down to Thai soaps and peer pressure.
Anyway beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, you introduce me to a woman who would not alter something about her self. Is there one?
Beauty is not only what you see it is also personality attitude etc.
As for plastic boobs it is like handling a tennis ball inside some skin, or in some cases a football
Plastic surgery should be limited to those people with disfigurements or injuries, That where it all started with Archie Mcindoe, the second world war skin transplant specialist wonderful man.

After my problems with Mrs Sarge and the pressure from her friends i bought them all vanishing cream

It doesnt work they still come round my house and get up my NOSE

Then i bought them lip seal

it doesnt work their lips do not stay closed long enough for it to set

I am not going to tell my wife yes to any removal of fat or unsightly lumps

She will probably employ a divorce lawyer if i do

I'd go for b) it looks like the morning after the night before. I think she might have done an entire battleship.

Well, would you believe it? Yet another one trying to influence Mrs BB today. Today's freak had a Pinochio nose and a Jimmy Hill Chin. Why, oh why do they do it to themselves?

OK, maybe I'm being a little cruel with my description of the finished product, but many of these women are late 40s/early 50s. Who are they trying to impress? Their husbands have already been blind enough looking through beer bottle glasses to think their wives OK to marry. However, in many cases, the husbands are 10 to 30 years older. Could they be trying to attract a new man?

It's drummed into them through adverts and soaps BB. You only need to look at the "Superstars" of Thailand to see what the "look" is.

Bar Tony Jaa, Mum Jokmok, Carabao and that little chubby comedian they're all whiter than me with western noses.

My GF is 23, good looking and has a figure most western women want but moans because she thinks she's dark. She is dark, even for a Thai but the irony is young western women are on sunbeds twice a week trying to get a tan.

She likes her nose though, it's a small Isaan nose but not like a boxers nose.

To be fair, I think women of any nationality moan about something to do with their appearance.
