You pay for what you drink and eat. Admission is free but if you want to do some fishing you better pay Terry whatever it cost.
I intend to live forever - so far so good.

Terry :)

At those food and drink prices, it is well worth a visit, even if you don't fish.

Will definitely pop in on my next visit. :thumb:

Terry,

What a shame you have only just published that - it should have been on your website.

Several times I've planned to take my son-in-law to your place for a day, and Mrs BB has always convinced me that it would be an expensive day out.

Now she's seen your menu, she says we'll be there next time. :D

You'd better warn Arry that the BB clan are coming.

It's a good family day out BB, we've been up there a couple of times and it's very relaxing.
The staff also help you out with the fishing if you're a complete amateur like I am.

I've always thought it would be, but you must know what that shrug of the shoulders, followed by, "Up to you" means.

I agree, you should put that on your site Terry, the fishing prices are much clearer.

I'll be printing it out for my mate before our visit in December.

Got some exotic steaks haven't you Terry?

Big Boy,
For us what a top day out i believe that some times you should just enjoy and worrie about the penny's later.
We got picked up from Jings at 11.00am got to the fishing lodge hired 4 rods in total, fished both lakes the wife and friend ate 3 times  and i drank at least 10 large Swineiken's :D the mrs and stepson and my good self caught 18 fish the largest the nipper caught was a cat fish 4.5kg.

The wife nearly went for a swim when on the top lake she hooked into a large carp estimated to be 8-10kg i said " for f*ck sake do not let go of that rod or we will have to pay for it" she dug her heels in but was sliping forward untill her nipper took the rod off her i was splitting my sides with lafter.

I set my heart on catching a large red tail and the staff bent over backwards to help me when they got another rod on the go at the bottom of the lower lake they hooked one and then gave me the rod but when doing battle with said beast for 10 minuites it broke off down to my inexperiance.

The cost
3 plates of food
soft drinks
10 Large beers
4 fishing rods
2 Lakes
bait
helpfull staff
relaxation
Nearly 7 hours of fun and exictment

A very resonable 3000 baht this for me was the highlight of our holiday and the wife and nipper loved it too we will be making this a must do day out at the start and end of our holiday.
Next time i will make sure i go there early in the morning as 7 hours was not enough i did not want to leave but the light was going and i was being eaten by the mossie's

I Will be back for Mr Red tail next year. :starwars:

Kendo.

As i have said before "more rod action than a saturday night down the Binta bart.

That's the point - I'm never worried about the pennies. When I go on holiday, I've always got more than enough.

It was my dear wife (on more than one occassion) insisting it would be too expensive. I simply agreed because it was easier than disagreeing. There are plenty of other things to do whilst keeping the peace.

Still - not a problem now that she's seen the detail :D

The idea of the day is for HHAD members to meet up, the fishing is optional, we know its not everyone's cup of tea. The venue makes sense as it covers all of the criteria we needed originally.

Hope to see a good turn out!

My partner was against it too until she discovered that fishing consists of sitting in a sala with her mate, eating som-tam all day!

Thanks for that re-assurance Steve :D

However, I think we should heed buksi's polite notice to get this thread back on track. It is, after all, an important thread on HHAD members meeting up, not my internal struggle to get a day at the fishing lakes.

For anyone still hesitating: Go for it. I led a couple of Finnvations there some years ago and everyone had great time. It's a lovely place with great athmosphere and nice breeze. Now you also have a chance to meet your fellow HHADers and sort out all the problems of this world or Thailand or HHAD. Wish I could be there.
