Just got the answer to how well they played:
1516: BBC Sport's Phil McNulty at Goodison Park: "Game over now as Everton fans start to drift away. Real defiance from their team but they could not turn all the dominance they enjoyed in the first half and at the start of the second into goals. Liverpool not impressive but they have claimed the points - and that was the only item on Rafael Benitez's agenda today."

gooners
we were awful today in the final third, completely lacking a cutting edge & van the man is out for the season
fair play to the chelsk, they defended well as a team but i think the scoreline was slightly flattering
oh well , we'll just have to move on to the next game

My take on the Arsenal v Chelsea match, in the style of Baa Baa.
We were unlucky, the ref was against us and our goals should not have been disallowed, Mikel should have been sent off and Drogba booked for trying to deceive the referee. We have our best players injured, and Ancelloti should have been sent to the stands for wearing that silly woolly hat.
No complaints from me, Chelsea were stronger and better and still remain my tip to be champions.

I don't know where you got that from Arcadian.
I haven't made any excuses all season, the only thing I've complained about is the dogs abuse our manager was getting from the press.
Feel free to dig up a few quotes of mine though and don't just claim I can't take a joke.
Looks like the inevitable winter collapse is on anyway, oh well, at least they pass it in pretty patterns.

I seem to remember after they beat spurs 3-0 saying that they didn't look that good and the purple patch wouldn't last etc etc
I also remember saying that Liverpool have been further down the league at this point in the season and whooped ass
Let's hope that one win was a flash in the pan
Big Boy I transcribed the emoticon, thanks for that. Cut and paste in my simple terms (4 Strokes)

Republic of Ireland assistant manager Liam Brady has described Sepp Blatter as "an embarrassment" after the FIFA president revealed that the Irish had asked to be the "33rd" team at next year's World Cup finals.
Brady said the Football Association of Ireland (FAI) had expected FIFA to consider the request in private after Thierry Henry's handball helped earn France victory over Ireland in a World Cup playoff.
Brady told Sky Sports News: "He's a bit of a loose cannon. He's an embarrassment to FIFA.
"I'm afraid Mr Blatter is a law unto himself. I thought it was very disrespectful how he presented this fact.
Brady added: "I think my country deserves more recognition from Blatter.
"After all Mr Blatter was responsible for the (match) official.
"He didn't say anything about the appalling mistake the official made to miss a blatant handball.
"He never had anything to say about that at all, like Henry's behaviour after scoring the goal and how that stands within his campaign to have fair play within the game."
Blatter, speaking ahead of Friday's World Cup draw, drew laughter from the crowd when he said Ireland "have not asked for any sanctions ... Very humbly, they have asked 'Can't we be team number 33 in the World Cup?"'
Have the Irish no sense of self respect but to go grovelling to yet another European administrator who is more interested in self than the game that he supposedly presides over!
It's about time an alternative competition was started or an effort made to populate the administration of sporting events with people of conscience and a sense of fair play rather than those who are more interested in the first class flight details and silver service meal for the next meeting.
Henry will be for evermore seen as a cheat and when his side gets bundled out there will be a massive cheer from those who believe in equity and fair play!

I see that the English press is gushing over Fergies "Kids"
Man Utd "kids" beat Spurs first team is the general opinion of the papers and Sky, so let's have a little look at these "kids".
Welbeck 19
Obertan 20
De Laet 21
Anderson 21 and cost £18 Million
Gibson 22
Kuszack 27
Park 28
Berbatov 28
Vidic 28
Brown 30
Neville 34
All hail Fergies latest group of fledglings who average over 25.
