Cheeky Monkey 2, joint affair with them and the large Thai owner of Ting bar in karaoke area. On that 5-way junction where El Murphy's is.

Been in there a few times now, decent enough size, done out smartly, DJ instructed to play funky house/Hed Kandi type music only, no Hilton-style plastic music or bang-bang-techno-techno cr@p. Refreshingly different venue for Hua Hin, San Mig was 80 Baht so not Hilton prices.

Know this sounds like a promotion for them, and do know the Thai lady's husband though not spoke to him for months, but it's a genuine report.

Is this the same owner as cheeky monkey near the sofitel? Is that bar still open? Cheeky monkey 2 sounds like a different atmosphere than cheeky monkey.

No idea about how businesses are connected but Cheeky Monkey near to Sofitel was still open on Monday when I passed.

Liam from coconut grove runs the sofitel location, have they opened another bar then?

You're right JG, but it'shis wife's baby and she does the day to day running of it. The new one I mentioned is in partnership with the big Thai guy from Tings Bar.

The original CM is open as normal.
