You have more cojones than I do! I wouldn't be too worried about car doors but more about sudden lane changes with no signal which seems more common in BKK than outside.
Also, what is that reservoir of fluid mounted on the top right? Please move it as distracting to us movie goers. Pete

Yeah it's my front brake fluid.
Yes it is a real pain in the arse having it there I know, but alas bike design for most machines means one of the drawbacks to my camera config means it's in the way
The compass stuck on top doesn't help either
Got up with the birds this morning to do some Christmas food shopping in Pattaya. Arrived before the store opened and was browsing the 'for sale' board outside. Dozens of bikes, probably fire sales when farangs run out of money or a visa. The below in black color was listed with a photo but I believe a 600, 2005 and 60,000 Baht. That seems a good price to me but no idea how many km's or any accidents. Also a few Harley's in the 150-200K baht range and a big Honda cruiser with no price listed but looked like a home on two wheels. Pete

Looks nice I doubt if you'd be getting papers and plates for that kind of money.
2006 was the last year for the Katana and parts will be very rare around Thailand for such a model as it's more of a custom sports bike than a mass-produced one...
