Moving to Hua Hin, to play golf

Post by mikegb »

I live on Koh Samui, but I love golf so I want to see if Hua Hin is the place for me to move to and retire so I can play every day. I am 56yrs. I currently work as a villa and property manager. I think I can only take 2 more years of this BS. I want to sell up on Samui and move to Hua Hin. I have never been before. But have heard good things. My wife Jacqui and I are planning to come to Hua Hin for a few weeks at the end of Jan. Any advice and help would be much appreciated. Mike

Golf in Hua Hin

Post by Hornell »

Hua Hin is a good place to live - I have lived near there for 9 years, but I have to say that with a couple of exceptions, golf is expensive - 2,200 Baht and up and then the caddy. However, if you join a golf society you can get much better rates. The golf courses are good - again with a couple of exceptions, but some of the new ones, eg Banyan are grossly overpriced. Good luck with your move. You will find plenty of kindred golfing spirits in Hua Hin!

Golf is great here, buy a membership at Springfield or lake view and get involved with societies and your laughing.
If you want an introduction let me know when your coming and will give you a start.
