Tangents

This is an observation not a criticism, but many of the threads here seem to have a life of their own. They go off on tangents so much so that if, for example, you started to read a thread starting on page 2 you would have no idea what the original thread was all about. Makes the site interesting though.

Yes, we're all guilty of it in one way or another. Somebody puts in a throw away comment that somebody else picks up on, and away it goes. Sometimes they are moderated back on track, but often the main subject has run its course anyway.
